The Herolab HiCen FR is a refrigerated floor-standing centrifuge for flexible 500 mL applications. Depending on the rotor installed, it achieves speeds of up to 18,000 rpm, an RCF of up to 34,774 × g and a capacity of up to 4 × 500 mL. This refrigerated configuration is intended for workflows in which temperature control is an integral part of the centrifugation process.

The HiCen FR is configured with the appropriate rotor, buckets, adapters and sample vessels for the intended workflow. Selection is based not only on speed and RCF, but also on vessel format, required throughput and the permitted rotor loading configuration.
