The FRAG8/96 high-throughput focused ultrasonic processor uses Adaptive Cylindrical Ultrasonic (ACU) technology to fragment DNA, RNA, chromatin, and proteins. The desired fragment size can be achieved by adjusting the sonication conditions. Compared with enzymatic digestion, the system produces relatively narrow and consistent chromatin fragments (200–600 bp), making it a suitable choice for sample fragmentation. The FRAG8/96 can process 1 to 96 samples simultaneously. Various consumables, including 96-well plates, 8-tube strips, and individual tubes, can be used for batches of 1 to 96 samples. Compatibility with PCR plates and tubes helps keep consumable costs low. Manual sample changes are not required during operation; samples can be transferred automatically between devices.
