The Herolab UniCen M is a universal benchtop centrifuge. Depending on the rotor fitted, it reaches speeds of up to 18,000 rpm and an RCF of up to 25,356 × g, with a maximum capacity of 4 × 200 mL. This model is not refrigerated.

The UniCen M is configured with the appropriate rotor, buckets, adapters and sample vessels to suit the respective workflow. Selection should consider not only speed and relative centrifugal force (RCF), but also vessel format, required throughput and permissible rotor loading.

Speed, RCF and capacity specifications depend on the selected rotor. To prepare a quotation, please provide the sample volume, vessel type, target RCF, temperature requirements and details of the existing laboratory workflow.

Why is the rotor part of the order?
Speed, RCF, capacity and vessel format are determined by the selected rotor configuration.

What does RCF mean?
RCF stands for relative centrifugal force and is expressed as × g. It depends on both the rotational speed and the rotor radius.

What information is required for a quotation?
Please provide the sample volume, vessel type, number of samples, target RCF and, where applicable, temperature requirements.

Is refrigeration required?
Refrigeration is selected when the workflow or sample requires temperature control during centrifugation.

Can existing tubes be reused?
Compatibility is assessed based on the outside dimensions, length, material, maximum permitted RCF and the available adapter.
